They're the people that I meet each day...

Sarah lent me her USB port (or whatever the damn thing is called) that allows photos to be uploaded to the computer from my digital camera. And I'm very glad, because today I took a lot of fun pictures!

Nathalie, the school gatekeeper.

Mowgli, Nathalie's camera-shy yellow Lab. He is named after the character in The Jungle Book. In France, this name is pronounced MOO-glee, not MOW-glee.

The little dog who lives down the lane. His name, I think, is either Obe or Obé. (Obe would be pronounced pretty much the way it's spelt; Obé is like obey.) He is not shy at all, he jumps up on the ledge between the hedge and the gate whenever anyone walks by. He used to like me, but then I bought a bag of little dog biscuits and started giving one to him whenever I passed by, and now he only likes me if I feed him.

I had wanted to buy myself a pair of AB shoes for Christmas, but I couldn't find any, so instead I bought this little rug for my room. I feel sorta bad for the frog in the middle, he doesn't seem to be having such an easy time dancing, but it looks like the frog on the left is going to help him out.

A wall of my room. I stole the three posters from my college (two from the art gallery). Grandma mailed me the comic strips. I cut the animals off of various children's cereal boxes. Marlene made the Happy Birthday sign for me back in October. I got the bag from the toy store in town when I bought something there (I keep various crap inside it).

And...

Me, sitting on my (very messy) bed, in my new Hraka Happens t-shirt from Sara, which arrived in the mail a few hours ago. I immediately put it on and ran to show it to the other assistants. "You guys! You guys, look what I got in the mail toay! Isn't this awesome!" Marlene & Sarah: "What is hraka?"
