Had a very good lunch with my bestest friend since forever, who I don't see often enough. The weather was vile, with heavy rains off and on, and dense fog part of the time. But I made it there and back safely, and now the sun is out.
For later, I have applesauce cake with cinnamon buttercream frosting. Mmmmm.

four dozen
Today, for the first time in a number of years, I made the family favorite birthday cake, date cake* with chocolate frosting**. The cake came out a tiny bit too dry, but still good; the frosting is too thick to spread well but tastes wonderful. Yum ( Read more... ) -
