I just emailed the agent and told her to withdraw my application for that apartment. The clincher was actually the parking lot, which is extremely cramped. No idea which space I'd be assigned, but several of them would be very difficult to get into, several would be very difficult to get out of, a bunch more are way too narrow, and the whole thing is just hard to maneuver.

This doesn't mean that the parking lot is the most important thing. If the apartment itself were bigger, I'd take it (if offered) despite the parking, although I would not be happy with the lot. If the parking lot weren't so cramped, I'd still be dithering about the apartment.
