I just got off the phone with Verzon. The call wasn't too bad. He did try to sell me on an upgraded phone plan, but it was a fairly soft sell, and he was honest enough to tell me that the price he quoted didn't include taxes. (It had sounded a bit cheaper at first, so I might have gone for it, but it's actually a little bit more than I'm paying now. And I don't need either the unlimited calling or the caller ID.)

I should have the router by the end of next week. There is a $35 one-time charge, which I expected, and cheaper than I might have thought. But that means that "we don't sell them" is, in fact, a LIE.

And while I was on hold, the automated voice kept telling me that I could try their website. WHICH I ALREADY TRIED. Ugh.
