( This is just an instance of my open-ended thinking procedures on why I’m using Foucault’s model of discourse as my primary theorist in looking at fanfic rather than Bourdieu (who has dominated fan studies so far). )

I'm currently reading this book in pre-publication copy in order to review it at some point in the near future. It talks a lot about fannish and academic identities, the decision to be 'out' as a fan or not in real life.
