Meeting with the head of the Drood & Fug
I just had a meeting with this guy. He's the director of medical devices at my agency, and is at least five levels above me in the organization chart. He called a 1-on-1 meeting with me after I made some suggestions on how to improve our customer service initiative.
While he didn't promote me on the spot, he also didn't fire me after the meeting. So I guess it was successful. But my plot to take over the US Government from within is going much slower than expected. I think that all I really achieved today is my integration to the Customer Service team.
*Sigh* Committees... I suppose that they are useful for some things, but I think that I'd be more effective as an Overlord. With a throne made of skulls. For one, Overlord/skull-throne is much cleaner to fit onto an org chart. It's a lot livelier too. But guess I can concede that sitting on the skulls of my crushed enemies may not be the type of customer service we need.
Yet.
Another observation - the director of my Center has no art on the walls of his office. I find that disconcerting. Hopefully, that's not his main office, and there's plenty of art up in his underground volcano lair. I feel that I could better connect to him if he had art in the volcano lair.
