412.jaenanda: This may be the most rational thing ever said on LiveJournal: This is my journal. This is not my life. Welcome to it. And it's true. Before I read this on the bio page I was thinking how this journal lets me know this person not at all, even though it's full of weighty personal entries. It isn't unique, but some journals that conceal more only achieve transparency.

I also haven't tried to promote the Mission (the method of leaving receipts makes it self-promoting anyway). I think if I join and bring it up as a topic it will be seem like that's what I wanted to use the community for and not a space for viable discussion. That and I fear exposure. Anyway, I have tremendous respect for juliann.

Realizing every time I revisit this thing that the absinthe list makes me feel the same way as the drink: close to vomit, delusional, belligerent, possibly a danger to myself and others. At the same time they're sweet and make you gag. They've all carmalized, dripped, and obscured the glass. Killed hundreds of brain cells.
