The times, they are a-changin....

These past few weeks I have been a million different people all rolled into one mis-placed and unaligned Hispanic man.  Today I was a cheery salesman trying to close a simple one or two unit deal.  A great performance, but it was unrefined.  I also had the opportunity to play the spoiled and entitled man at the first chance my email notification popped on my screen. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the end of the day to discover that I had enough restraint to stay quiet and go unnoticed.  As much as I wanted to scream, shout and blame everyone else for my mistakes, I couldn't help but feel disappointed in myself.  Thankfully, I wasn't far off base and my efforts seemed to have paid off.  As long as I stay proactive, I'll be sitting comfortably in my little condo in the downtown sky soon.  Although how soon is soon is left entirely to my discretion.

Of course, there are other matters that I need to attent to first, but I'd rather not discuss that because quite frankly it doesn't bare repeating at this point.  In six months time, I'll be done with this ordeal one way or another.  I'm definately paying my dues, but I refuse to discreit others who might think otherwise.  I'm open to all suggestions, justifications, and implications.

Its hard to ignore ths signs of the times now a days.  Suicide on the metro-rail.  Company buyouts.  Constant downsizing, rebudgeting, and restructuring which in the end all deal a hefty blow to our already strained economy.  But does anyone feel that Miami has been excluded from the rest of the world?  Although the service industry has been one  of the hardest hit, it seems Miami has been spared the full range of economic stagnation, but I'm willing to bet that there are hotel managers who think otherwise.  Bartenders might tell a different story, but now a days everyone has a little side job...whether they're offering or performing one.  I love this city, but it doesn't seem to love me...

Open channels of communication are key to a successful relationship.  I'm glad to have discovered a new one.  In short, I love you Donkey.  Period. No elipses.

In other news, I have also been hired as an event planner for the debut of the DesJardin Diamond fashion line by Ajesoir.  I have no doubt that my recruitment, sales engagement and management skills complimented with Donkey's marketing experience will help Ajesoir achieve Design District notoriety.  It is my personal goal that our debut show compliments DesJardin Diamond's sparkle and glamour as well as show case its distinctive cultural influences.  Une nuit dans notre jardin...

We'll thats as much time I have here.  Until the next....

Carlos
