Earlier today two cows escaped from OSU's Veterinary Medical Center and ran amok!  It took "at least seven police cars, a university tractor, a cattle prod and tranquilizers to corral the cattle," according to the OSU Lantern.  One of the cows flipped a vet student into the air, and one of them (maybe the same one because it has feasted on human ( Read more... )

My hatred for Saab is as fierce as it is irrational.  They are incredibly ugly, and I assume all Saab owners are pretentious.  I have no basis for this opinion; but I am going to stand by it.

Fought another gang of wasps yesterday. They're everywhere this year. A nest almost fell on my head as I opened the back door, and a few of them got inside the house. But I met up with an unexpected ally this time, who will feast mightily on the corpses of my fallen enemies.

For a couple of days, going to the mailbox has become an adventure. Opening the box antagonizes the wasps that have set themselves up in the wood frame. So tonight brought a trip to Home Depot for some sprayable ammunition.

Monkey was just sitting in my lap being the sweet little guy he can be, but rarely is, when I felt something crawling on my leg.  At one point while I was petting him I must have let loose a tick that was hiding in his fur!  Good God, I hate ticks!  An epic battle ensued, and I vanquished the little spawn of Satan (the tick, not Monkey).
