Sleep Over and A Very Fun Late Night
Last Sunday was the first "Girls' Bible Study Meeting" at Lisa's house. We are all reading through "Lady in Waiting" together. It should be a really great study. I hope to grow closer to all of the college girls as Redwood. It was so hard for me not to spoil the book because I am the only one that has read it yet. Lol. Also last Sunday night Bethy hosted a sleep over at her house with Christine, Katrina, herself and I. It was quite a blast catching up with old friends and making more memories and quotes and plans. :) I love my friends. Yeah, so we watched the entire first season of Dorm Life (which I had never seen before, but it definitely grew on me. good show). And we stayed up till 3 or 4 am. It was great, and I was happy I didn't have jury duty on Monday, otherwise that might have sucked.
But yeah, last night was just as awesome. There was the college welcome BBQ at the Swanson's with a whole bunch of people and Linda even came cause she had spent the day in SF. A bunch of the girls had a really fun conversation about pick up lines/"sneaky moves". And then we played volleyball in the arena (though Linda and I wanted to go horseback riding. lol) with a really low net. Hehe. It was fun, but ridiculous that 2 people got hit in the head within half an hour. Again, I love my friends. So there was a kind of unexpected devotion at the end the Linda and I had to leave in the middle of so we could get to the prayer walk at DVC, which was also a lot of fun. Incredible is actually the word. We got there and all prayer as a group, then we split up into girls and guys and prayed again. Then we came back together and sang a ton of worship songs. We did a lot of ones I hadn't heard in years and didn't think I knew, but then they came back to me. We stayed there singing in the quad till about 11:30 pm. Then, because we were all dying of thirst and like the whole campus was closed, we went over to Safeway and got drinks. Then because Safeway closes at midnight apparently, we went to Jeff and Justin's apartment to continue our worship. So yeah, I was there till about 1:15 am. Then I decided I needed to go home and get some rest because I had to go to work at 9:00 am this morning.
