I survived my father's visit. But instead of simply recaulking the shower (his busy task to feel useful and prevent crankiness), he ripped out part of the shower, rebuilt it, learned how to tile, broke the bathroom cabinet, jimmie rigged that, and then left me to caulk and grout the tile. I finished up a painting, actually 2 paintings, on Monday. The one that this entry is about, I never thought I would paint. The symbol that started out representing the BFTP (Blast From The Past), became the symbol for me and now the series feels complete with this one final sacred heart painting.
