Actually, it isn't that bad. I'm doing the intensive intermediate class that is all of 3 & 4 in one month (with Holloway) - it's about 3 days per chapter from the Vistas book. It's basically the same level of immersion as your month in Mexico, only without the fun traveling part. :( I only bitch about it every once in a while because it takes me about 9-10 hours a day to do all the work. But I can feel it sinking in faster the longer I do it, and my reading is almost as fast as reading English. Writing is what takes forever. And since I was never very good at English grammar, the whole direct/indirect/double object pronoun thing has just left me in the dust. But if I get in a hole I can't dig myself out of, you and Bridget are my go-to gals. :D

I am the reflexice/direct/indirect/etc QUEEN. The only thing to remember about it in Spanish is that it's backwards of what we do here. "Jim gave me(i.o.) it (d.o.)" becomes "Jim me(i.o.) lo(d.o.) da" always ID, and always before the verb. ;) Plus, saying "meloda" is just fun.

Holloway is NUTS about the amount of work she requires. I'm taking Spanish 3 online with her in the fall and I'm probably going to kill her. Xp

I hadn't thought about it before, but actually... I do think you would like Torchwood. Potentially more than you would like Doctor Who. The setup and the character relationships seem more along the lines of things I know you like. (Also, if you watched it, you could read my currently 100,000+ word Torchwood/Supernatural crossover and convince me to finish it. XD ( ... )
