I wasn't nearly as productive as I originally planned on July 4th, but all in all it was a good day. I finished a book, worked out a bit, and headed up to Strongsville for snacks and dinner with my brother's girlfriend's family. I love her family. They're so easy to talk to and I never feel that there's a lull in the conversation. We ended up talking about Harry Potter with Marissa's youngest sister, which was really good for me. She brought up points about the last book that I hadn't even considered. I knew I had to re-read book 5 before the movie came out, but now I'm re-reading the entire series before book 7 is released. For some odd reason I thought the book was getting released this weekend, so now I'm slightly disappointed that it's not. I really have no idea how I determined that, but 07-07-07 sounds like a great day for a book release to me! Oh well.
The fireworks were splendid. I love fireworks, which I'm sure doesn't surprise you. Growing up, we always went to my parents church and watched them from the playground. You could see most of the show and avoided traffic. But going downtown has its perks. You get to see and feel the fireworks, and that's pretty sweet. Watching fireworks with friends makes the experience much more enjoyable. I can't wait to watch fireworks at
The FEST!
I'm currently counting down the hours until vacation. The family rule is that vacation begins Friday when my dad arrives home from work. This is anywhere between 5:15 and 5:30, and I'm quite excited. I plan to read, do my homework, go to a winery, and probably take a trip to the movies to see Harry Potter. I'm also in charge of dinner one evening so I should probably get supplies of some sort. Mary and Marissa are coming up for a few days so it'll be nice to have some "big kids" to hang out with. I also intend to make use of the sparklers I received for graduation. Yeah...I'm definitely an adult!
