"I'm the last person who wants to see you hurt or suffering. It kills me that this happened to you. As if someone shot me through the heart. I bleed for you and feel the pain. Tell me what I msut do. What do you need from me. What must I do for you? Something about Engama keeps pulling you back.
"If I could keep you here and ensure yourr safety and happiness, I would. But if you have to do this and go bac and face whatever awaits you I will support that. Just tell me what I must do in order to help you."
"You really don't want to get involved in this, Tos."
"There is no place I would not go and nothing I wouldn't do for you."

The river ran along the norhth side of the mostly east-boynd road until the cayon spread into a broad valley and the river swung South while the road went straight. A single, enormous stone building came into view, dwarfing several smaller structures behind it.
I'm trying to map out Engama a bit better. I knew it as nested along the part of the Anlizers that juts across Ela'yas, dividing the eastern end into the North and South, more forested in the North and the Plains of Tromar in the South, but this idea that it might actually be tucked into a canyon and completely hidden is appealing. I don't think the Klamon would venture that far West. They would stick along the main body of the Anlizers and leave this little westward jutting to the Humans, not worth the battle. Plus the Brehtsoln have Beheil, the whole area north of the Anlizer river, using the Anlizer mountains as a pass for trade routes with the Zegdaen. The Zegdaen would have been pushed almost exclusively into the Analizer Mountains on the South end. They used to reside on the isthimus between Alast and Ostrin, and there may still be some there, but the Storinan got a bit greedy and pushed them westward into the mountains. They may have pushed some South into Ostrin and some of the Zegdaen may have stayed there. I don't know how that would affect the dragons. I suspect it is a bit of a draw between the Zegdaen and Klezmier.
Back to Engama, you have this school nestled in a valley that may be a good 200-400 acres in size, waffling on how big it actually needs to be. Main building and auxileries. Inside the main building you have: linguistics (covering writing and literature), printing (including making paper etc.), tailor and fabrics, kartography, glass, medicine, history, culinary, mathematics/architecture/engineering/drafing. Trades with their own seperate shops would definitley include agriculture with the stables, fields, and greenhouses, smithing of various types, masonry, carpentry (cooperage may be under this umbrella), and I'm sure more.
I'm getting distracted by maps and drafting the building's layout, doing more detail on the dorms and figuring out where each set of classrooms are in relation to others. The outer halls and classes are single story, the inner area of the building has a second and in some areas a third story. The library sits at the North end of the building. The dormotories for the 1-5th year students at least are on the South end, The girls are on the East side and the boys on the West. Some of the instructors live within the main building, others have houses in and around thhe auxiliary buildings. Fairly modest structures, you're not going to see huge multi-story houses because most of the effort was put into the main school and ensuring all of the shops where build as well as they could be, having several updates since then.
I need to look at my notes. I know Engama is 100 years old or less. Mishor is probably only the third Hafitch to serve there. The first, I suspect, was the Hillenbohn who helped to establish it. He may not have served very long if it took thirty years to bring it from plan to fruition, the second possibly served 30 or more years. I think Mishor has been in for 10-15 years from what I remember off the top of my head.
