It’s that time of the year when bookstores and stationery shops are beginning to shelf out their calendars for the coming new year. Imagine, three months away and already there are all kinds of calendars reminding you that the year is about to end.
With the multitude of choices for a planner, your preference for keeping track of dates and what form that tool takes is as endless as your imagination. Although there are digital devices have also eased the problem of keeping track of dates, there are still those who prefer the good ol’ traditional pen-and-paper approach to remembering appointments and dates.
Despite the availability of planners in local bookstores, I’ve also decided to look online to give me an idea of what options there are for 2012 planners. So far,
spot.ph has an article which places all the possible options for notebooks and planners available locally.
There are also
Moleskine designs for those who can shell out an extra couple of bucks for a nifty planner. I’ve always looked forward to having a Moleskine, though the price of acquiring one makes me wonder if I’ll feel bad about losing it (which seems to happen) or writing messily on it (which I tend to do a lot).
Yeah! notebooks and planners are available at National Bookstore and have a wide selection of cute designs. For 2011, I decided to buy one of their planners, which I really found useful because I can write the dates myself. Since I had purchased this planner around July already, it was helpful that could start from July and not feel bad about leaving half a year empty. Had I known that it came in a smaller size, though, I think I would have opted for that.
I found that there are also
custom calendars available online. Considering that there are also academic calendars available, it would be very helpful for my work. Not to mention, it could also be a possible Christmas gift for friends who are also working in the academe.
Really, the options for organizing your year / month / day are endless. With the option of being able to customize your planner, you can even suit your planner to your needs and taste if you can’t find the right one.
