Ryo & Shige Interview!
Ryo and Shige. It's a Myojo interview but I'm not sure from when.
It's pretty entertaining. It's a funny pair XD

This is my 5th translation w00t!
The [ ] are me saying notes.
And feel free to ask questions ^^b
after a while I'll just put R for Ryo and S for shige.
NISHIKIDO RYO & KATO SHIGEAKI
Shige - Do we even have anything in common?
Ryo - Nishido Ryo's kanji "Ryo" and Kato Shigeaki's kanji for "aki"? That's about it.
Shige - hahahahaa.
Ryo - I knew about Shige before NEWS was formed, but I don't think we've ever talked?
Shige - Nope, we haven't. I was really scared of you. You had blonde hair and back then I was in my first year of High School and there was no one like that around me so I thought "I can never get along with this person!
Ryo - I ignored people a lot back then, too.
Shige - But now, since time has passed, I can talk to you like a normal person. Your hair isn't blonde anymore either.
Ryo - Shige doesn't look different much from the outside, but you've really expressed yourself more!
Shige - What! That sounds bad! lol. I don't think of myself that way. Well, I think everyone in NEWS has been able to express themselves more. Not just me, but everybody. I don't express myself that much compared to everyone else.
Ryo - Don't you think Koyama doesn't express the most? On the opposite side, Massu expresses his thoughts a lot. When we talk about concerts, if Shige's idea doesn't get chosen all you say is "Okay, I understand". but Massu goes on about it forever.
Shige - Yeah. What's up with that. And every time he goes "I want to do this, I want to do that" and always says the same things. He must have a lot of confidence in his ideas. For me, if I have 10 ideas and if one of them is used I'm okay with that.
Ryo - For me, if I said 10 I'd want about 7.
Shige - That's true. lol.
Ryo - I'm good at presenting.
Shige - I can always agree with your ideas. The two of us have similar music taste. I remember the music that you said is good and later on I went and rented their CDs.
Ryo - Me, too. One time you gave me a CD. It had a demo that you made called "oiran". When you were playing guitar by yourself and you were loud [the precise word that he used was gyaa gyaa].
Shige - Wha Wha Wha whattt? You listened to that!?
Ryo - I think it was on recording companies persons computer.
Shige - I am so embarassed. Having it brought up in such a place...
Ryo - Dear Readers, I think it will eventually be announced (snicker)
Shige - Please! Really, stop it! That's over.
Ryo - Oh, and one time I borrowed your electronic dictionary and in the history for searches, oiran was one of them.
Shige - That was when I was reading "Sakuran" so I was interested. I'm so embarassed... I didn't know you knew...
Ryo - Well, it's all right. On a different note, we don't have the same taste perferences.
Shige - That's true. I don't eat instant ramen. It's not that I don't like it, it's just I don't eat it for my health.
Ryo - I love it *heart mark* Maybe it's because my dad liked it. My dad was really good at making at making ramen from a bag.
Shige - How, How is it different?
Ryo - The hardness of the noodles is different. In the past I'd go "Ken-Chan, make ramen for me~♪”
Shige - Ken-Chan Ramen?
Ryo - Yeah. Because my dad's name was Kenji.
Shige - Ohhh. I see. lol.
Ryo - Isn't food that your dad makes good? Usually my mom makes it so it feels special. Sunday, no, it was Saturday, well it doesn't matter. But my dad would get fish sausage and he would cook it with soy oil and would fry it spicy and sweetly. It was great!
Shige - My dad would sometimes make food, too. He would make chaahan [fried rice] and yaki soba. Isn't yaki soba made by your dad good?
Ryo - Really? I think that something like yaki soba would be good even if Shige made it.
Shige - No, I can't make it better than my father!

Shige - Nishikido-kun usually wears colorful clothes ne. I have a lot of black clothes.
Ryo - You always have super "The Tokyo" styled clothes! It's like I read"Men's Non-No" style!
Shige - Yes, I'm a subscriber. Well, Nishikido-kun, how about you?
Ryo - Hmmm. Amsterdam.
Shige - I don't get it, but it sounds oshare [fashionable]. Around me, there's no one that dresses like Nishikido-kun.
Ryo - So that means, I'm super oshare lol.
Shige - Even back when we were Jr. everyone said that. Back then you were really street style and had a ura-Harajuku style.
Ryo - Back then I read fashion magazines a lot too. Now, I just go to stores and pick out clothes I like.
Shige - Maybe sometime we could go shopping together?
Ryo - I shop alone.
Shige - ... well then where?
Ryo - Movie theater
Shige - That, all you do is sit next to each other !? There's no meaning in going together!?
Ryo - Oh, I don't think we've ever went out and played together. A lot of the times after work I said "Shige, let's go out and eat?" but you always say "No."
Shige - I never said thatt!!
Ryo - Joking Joking. Shige goes when a lot of other people go. Shige and I are only together during work.
Shige - -tear- I feel a lot of distance and I'm getting sad.
Ryo - No, it's not like that. I don't know what to talk about it. "Do you have a girlfriend? and stuff? lol.
Shige - Hahahahaha. We don't talk about love stories between members. If Nishikido-kun had a girlfriend how would you be?
Ryo - Hm, me, I'd be really nice. I'd probably kiss her even in front of my friends. Shige seems like you'd call her "omae" [a little ruder way of you]
Shige - I think I'd say that, too. It seems like we'd be different than usual. Okay, so my question, have you ever read the essay that I write? [shige always writes essays in the myojo magazines]
Ryo - I have I have. You talk about being left handed, or about colors. The one you've talked about me, too! (VOL. 3)
Shige - To hear that you're actually read it makes me embarassed *red*
AT THE END, both of you please think of a catchphrase
Ryo - Okay, Shige, you say it.
Shige - Um... black hair.
Ryo - That's stupid! Make it something funny! It's going to be in big letters as in keywords on this page! Okay, so um... The bit awkward two.
Shige - If that was in big letters it'll be even more awkward!!

Hope you guys enjoyed it, after this I'm becoming a bit of a Ryo fan, he's hilarious.
If you can read Japanese, I suggest reading this because Ryo's Osaka-ben and Shige's Tokyo style of speaking makes it even funnier. XD
