A few days ago I got a call from a LA City rep to work as a Poll Inspector for the upcoming election on Tuesday May 17th. This time they called me; I didn't have to call them. Of course the flip side of this "easy" low-turnout-expected election is that the positions being voted upon are those that are not highly advertised or easy to learn more about. There are only 4 seats to be voted upon in my area. I'd welcome any advice in how to find more out about these candidates, or any endorsements anyone wants to mention. ( Read more... )
