So this afternoon at 2:30pm was my appointment with my hepatologist to discuss the state of my liver. Ironically, while on the way to hear his verdict on my liver, I heard the verdict on Michael Jackson. Just got the results from the blood tests from my visit with my hepatologist on May 17th. Here's what he wrote on the "Patient Notification of Test Results" page that I just received in the mail today: Hi Clare, Liver studies are all negative. Had appointment with my hepatologist yesterday (May 17th). To remind anyone who missed it, I'd previously been diagnosed with fatty liver lisease (fatty material in my liver) and hepatomegaly (enlarged liver).

I just realized I forgot to write an LJ update about the results of my liver ultrasound. My doctor told me that the ultrasound showed that I have a "slightly enlarged liver due to fatty infiltration", and he gave me a referral to a liver specialist. So, my latest PCP, the friendly Dr. Chan, called my cellphone around noon -- and I missed the call since I'd accidentally left it in another room. (I hate it when I do that!)
