In my heart I now know why PTOC3 touched me so deeply. I haven't gone back to see it a 2nd time, but I will soon. I know it. I've been exerting extreme willpower to stay away from the theater for a while and to keep the DVDs of the first 2 movies on the shelf.

Say what you will about plot holes and interminable explanations, POTC3 works. I loved it. I laughed and I almost cried at the end. I totally did not expect that particular ending. Still it worked and I'm haunted by the final image of Orlando Bloom standing in the rigging ( Read more... )
