Week in Review

Apr 02, 2010 10:32

I have been a strange mixture of very productive and not so much lately.  I believe a recap is in order.

Monday:
I spent all evening finishing our taxes.  Cutting it a little close, but I did start 2 weeks ago, and I was finishing up revision #3 or 4 on the federal one, as well as doing the UT one.  Once I finished, I decided I could save on postage and time by submitting them online... only to find that meant I had to put in ALL the information all over again.  I think I finished right around 11pm.  Good news though, we get a fat rebate back thanks to my dad's helpful advice (the advice that caused there to be 4 revisions, each one with a bigger refund amount at the end).

Tuesday:
We went to the temple (barely made it for March, but hey, we made it!), then I made dinner and went to book group.  I was going to make bread too but realized at 5 that I was getting lunch for free at work the next day, thus negating the need to make bread right away.  I was rather relieved.  I got home from book group after midnight... and it was still going when I left!

Wednesday:
I made bread, measured all our furniture and put the measurements into a spreadsheet (for ease of calculating how we can best arrange our furniture in P&Rs basement when we move... can you tell I am excited even though it's 4 months away?), went out to dinner to celebrate rhb reaching a benchmark in his book, and then sat down to play Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for a few minutes.  This is where the unproductive part comes in.  I stopped playing 3 hours later... but I did get everything done that I needed to, so I didn't feel too bad.

Thursday:
Writing group, dinner, grocery shopping, and more Mario and Luigi.  I was going to play some Rock Band too, but by the time I got to it I was so tired I went to bed instead.

Friday:
Well, it hasn't fully happened yet.  I think I'm just going to stay home, replace a light bulb, do the dishes, stuff like that.  Really exciting, I know.  Maybe I will finish reading Royal Assassin too; from the sound of things, a game that rhb really wants to play is arriving today from Goozex and so he will likely commandeer the DS.

Also, we got a notice yesterday that our contract is up in July, and it will give me great pleasure to circle the VACATE option and sign it.  I have absolutely no desire to continue living in our current residence.
