The Rings That Bind Us Together [3rd ring]
~ 3rd Ring ~
Jin sat on the stair, panting. He ran all over jimusho to find Ueda but still he didn’t find him. He wiped his sweaty face with a handkerchief. And suddenly his action stopped. He thought he heard someone crying. In the nearby toilet he assumed. What if…it is not human that I heard…scary thoughts started to flood Jin’s brain.
He sat on the toilet floor, all wet in sweats and tears. He hugged his knees and his body was trembling. Kame looked pathetic in some kind of way. The toilet’s door squeaked and Jin entered slowly, beware of anything. When his eyes caught Kame, he ran towards the younger man, thinking nothing.
“Kame! What’s wrong?” he stood on his knees, in front Kame. Sobbing sounds echoed. Jin hesitatingly brought his hand to Kame’s face. He pushed the man’s chin upwards, revealing Kame’s wet face.
“What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” he asked, gently. Kame was still sobbing.
“I’m sorry…*sobs* Jin…I’m terribly sorry…” Jin didn’t know what to do. He wiped the flowing tears with his fingers, tenderly.
“Why are you sorry…hurm?” Jin hugged Kame, trying to comfort the man. Hell I want to see my band mates like this…
“I took something which belongs to Ueda…” Jin frowned. Eh?
“And why were you apologizing to me? Tell Ueda instead of crying here…” Kame’s sobbing was loud again. Jin turned panic.
“Sshh…sshh…okay…stop crying for god sake…” he hugged Kame tighter.
“It’s the one you want to give him…the ring…”
Jin stopped breathing. He looked at Kame’s hand, founding the bruised and slightly bleeding finger…and the ring, fitting nicely around it.
He blinked, trying not to believe what he was seeing.

Ryo sighed countless of time already.
Flashback
“I’m not kidding you! The ring won’t come off!” Ueda yelled back, still forcing the ring to come off.
“And why?” Ueda shook his head. “How am I supposed to know?” Ryo twitched his lips.
“That’s because you’re fat, princess! And now the ring is stuck inside your finger!” Ueda’s eyes widened.
“Say that again and I’ll kill you, midget!” Ryo stuck out his tongue.
“Fat princess!” Ueda’s blood was boiling. He fisted his fingers and was more than ready to punch Ryo. A little bit more and the punch will land on Ryo’s face.
“DUM!” The elevator stopped and the lights were blinking for a few seconds. Ueda lost his balance in the process and his fist landed on something soft.
“ITAI!!!”
End of flashback
They were trapped inside the elevator, his face was punched accidentally and the fact that the ring he bought for his crush was inside Ueda’s finger made he sighed and cursed endlessly. Even Ueda was bored of hearing him. He looked at the latter from the corner of his eyes. Ueda was still trying to get the ring off his finger. Ueda’s face was expressionless, was what Ryo could think off. But then his eyes were settled on Ueda’s finger. It was red and had started to turn into blue-black.
He is hurting himself…hey! I’m not that mean and cruel to just let it happen! Ryo moved closer towards the man and gripped his hand, stopping him before his finger bleed.
“What?? Don’t disturb me Nishikido.” Ueda stared into Ryo’s black orbs.
“You’re hurting yourself.” Ryo stated. Ueda huffed.
“And why did you care? I am doing this to get this ring off so you and Kame-chan can live…happily…ever…after. Just let me do it even if it means I have to cut my finger.” He forcefully released himself from the grip and continued pulling the ring out of his finger. Ryo stopped him again.
“I do not want your blood to contaminate the ring I want to give to him. Understood? We’ll figure out something to take it off. Just stop hurting yourself. I don’t want your fan girls to kill me after this.”
He…cares for me…? Nah…he just cares for the ring…Ueda shoved the thoughts away.
A few minutes later they were saved and both of them went to separate way, one filled with hatred and annoyance and the other felt guilty and confused at the same time.

The woman in front of him sweetly. Ryo looked like he lost his wife.
“The rings shall come off…naturally…” she said after a sec. Ryo put on his blank face.
“And how is that supposed to happen?” Ryo asked. The woman was still smiling.
“The rings are fated to be with the respective people…only certain people can wear the rings…if they come in contact with the wrong people they can be taken off immediately…and usually the first person wears it…” Ryo cut off the woman’s words.
“I’ve got that part already…but the thing is, the one who is wearing that ring is not the person I love which I doubt will be the person fated to it! What should I do about that?” Ryo cut the woman’s words.
“…are you sure the one you love at the moment, is destined to be the love of your life?” she asked still smiling, leaving Ryo to shut his mouth up.
“You can’t answer that question, can you? True, the matter of life, death and love are to be known only by kami-sama…so, this is just the matter of time…if the one who wears your ring is not destined for you than the ring will come off…you just have to wait…”
But I know…one cannot change the destiny…once the ring had fitted perfectly to its true owner’s finger it won’t come off…and the true owner will always be the first one wearing it…I’ve already told you about it…it’s your fault not to listen… the woman smiled tenderly.
Ryo walked out past a certain man who happened to look just like his best friend. He took a glimpse and just walked forward without bothering who the man was.

Jin stormed inside the building almost stumble upon a black-haired man with a ray ban. He didn’t really see the man’s face thus he just ignored him.
“Ano…Madame…I have a question to ask…” Jin looked blankly at the desk in front of him. The woman hurm and raised a brow. Could it be…nah! The woman brushed off her thoughts.
“Can I take off the ring I’m wearing right now?”
“Hah?” Jin scratched his head.
“err…how can I put this to word…”
“Is there anything wrong with the rings? Any flaw?” Jin immediately shook.
“No…it’s just that…I can’t wear it anymore…” The woman seems shocked.
“You can’t gain weight that fast can you?” and it’s Jin who was shocked now.
“What?? No! Are you implying that I’m fat Madame? Oh crap! Let’s just forget about that! I was trying to say that someone else is wearing the pair of the ring which I’m wearing now and that particular someone couldn’t take it off but that someone is not the one I love but I still love that someone as friend…?”
The woman blinked. Once. Twice. Thrice. Then she chuckled a bit. So it is huh…
“Akanishi-san…please try taking that ring off your finger? Now?” Jin complied. And he couldn’t. The ring stuck.
“Did what you just did just now answer your question?” Jin sighed.
“I guess it did…”
Jin walked out of the building in confusion.

Next morning…
“WHAT??!”
“I say…Johnny-san wants to see both of you…and together with Ueda-kun…” the manager repeated.
“Why?” Jin asked.
“I don’t know…just go and see him already…” Jin sighed and walked to the door. Kame and Ueda followed not long after that.
“Both of you shall live together.” The old man stated, pointing towards Ueda and Ryo.
“Huh?!” they exchanged looks with each other.
“And both of you too.” He said again, this time pointing to Kame and Jin. Another loud ‘Huh’ were heard.
“Let me tell you…Ueda-kun, I know your house have some pest and pipes problems so you live at the hotel…” Ueda nodded, and Johnny-san continued. “…but paparazzi wouldn’t believe the story…so it is safe for you to live with Nishikido for this time being…”
“Why Nishikido? Of all people?” Ryo glared at the question.
“Simple. Since not all Johnny’s have to go back and forth to Osaka so his place is the right one. You don’t even have to see his face all the time if that was what you mean.”
“I refuse Johnny-san!” Ryo said. The old man smirked to this.
“I know you would have said that…accept it or your allowance shall be cut 50%...”
“Wha-! That’s not fair!”
“Accept it or leave it Nishikido…and what about you both? No objections?” he looked at the quiet Kame and Jin.
“I don’t know…but why?” Kame said calmly, without looking at Jin. Guilt was nesting in his heart.
“I see the bond between both of you has faded away…that’s the only reason. I want you to recreate the bond in three months. Is that possible?”
Neither Jin nor Kame nodded their head. Fucking old man was the reason the bond disappeared…wasn’t you the one who told us all the ‘AKame’ things weren’t worth it back then??
“So? Have you made up your mind?” he asked Ryo. With annoyance the kansai man answered a truly insincere ‘yes Johnny-san’.
“Good then! I expect to see both of you and both of you come together tomorrow!”
And the miracle of the rings had just begun.
