I put my awake-but-sleepy child in her cradle, tucked her up cosy and warm, put on some music and left to make a warming drink. I have been on Annual Leave, pending maternity leave, for the last two weeks. Matei has enjoyed Christmas so much that he keeps trying to instigate repeats.
