Me Myself: He's a combination of Lucy AND Ricky.

Me ... Myself

She's a prickly homeowner. He's in need of a place of stay. Together...

When Oom hits a strange man with her car, she does what any sensible woman would: she brings him home and gets in his pants.

The twist? Her hot new boyfriend has amnesia... and when he regains his memory, he remembers that he's not Tan, but Tanya, a transvestite cabaret dancer.

Oom is friendly:

Neat:

And a paragon of feminine grace and virtue:

Tan is the hot young stranger she blindsided into amnesia. She takes him home, as he is pitiful and pet-like without his memory (think George of the Jungle meets Zettai Kareshi -- "no one dies, they just get really big boo-boos") and he cleans and cooks and generally just wanders around looking gorgeous.

She even admits he's prettier than she is, which you think would be the first clue.

Among other clues...

Tan and Oom discover love through domesticity and drunken karaoke (and my favorite: drunk-calling her ex in the middle of the night and cackling at their own cleverness, which is just LOL), and both of them ignore Tan's limp wrists and affinity for pink.

Though their first kiss is when they're both wearing lipstick, which should tell you something.

Personally, I think they could've avoided all the gender angst by embracing life as nudists. You can't bemoan your attraction to women's clothing if you give up clothing completely! Everybody wins!

THE SUBTLE SUGGESTION OF THAILAND.

Tan and Oom get closer, not picking up on the signs...

Open-mouthed kissing. And and and (spoilers): It all leads to artistic shots of Oom's hair spilled on the pillow and her hands trailing along Tan's chiseled body of Greek godliness. The next morning, her nephew blearily wanders in the kitchen like "Man, I couldn't sleep, I dreamed of earthquakes all night... "

Of course, just when you're rooting for them, Tan's memory comes back.

HE'S REALLY TANYA.

And he has a boyfriend.

And his entire life is the gay cabaret, where he twists and writhes on the floor in elaborate costumes for the hungry gazes of male foreigners.

Torn between lives, Tan alternates between angst and a sort of woobie bewilderment ("I'm what??"). Oom doesn't fare much better, having been in love with what was essentially a hot amnesic showgirl.

CAN THEIR LOVE SURVIVE EYELINER?

Yes, these are completely gratuitous. Are you complaining? He's in tights.

Gorgeous visuals!

SOMETIMES THAILAND REALLY LOVES US.
