So.. This sucks. Life is utterly unfair. I don't know how many people can relate with how I am feeling. Currently, I'm in a position where I care for someone very very dearly. I know at this point it looks like you will always feel the same about that guy, but I predict that you won't. The emotional memory is going to gradually fade away, leaving room for someone worth more. Eventually you're emotions are going to agree with your logic, and you'll find yourself capable of falling for someone else, and saying "to heck with that other guy, this one's much better." I know this because you're a human being. Sure it may take a couple of years, but the better man will be worth the wait. There's probably a part of you that believes I don't know what I'm talking about, and that I don't understand. That the feelings you have are just too strong to disappear. But they will. I'd say you speak with wisdom. Time does heal all wounds, and nothing is forever...even love. It may change subtly, drastically, or fade away alltogether. In either case picking at an open wound only prolongs the healing process.

I hope both rainey and mooglex can find peace.

I wouldn't say that letting your feelings be known constitutes obsession. If you can't enjoy your life, or live it in some sense of normalcy...then you are obsessed. When your bitten in the ass by love, it just sucks all around.
