I received a real nickname

It's Koppi
Born 21 years ago, I was never called with a nickname so I daringly told them to give me a nickname.
Even though I'm the one who told them to...

At a concert in Hiroshima
That's where it's from
I think it's about 2 months ago from now?
It started when I was maintaining guppies.
Well, to be exact I was explaining to people I wanted to keep neon tetra I grouped them together with guppies (laughs)
So then Hikaru said it would be a good idea to call me Koppi because I kept guppies
But if I would keep neon tetra such a nickname would become a bother.
The nickname should be something like Yabun Koutra to be comparable.
However, it seemed like it stuck around already.
But you know
Being called Koppi all the time was really embarrassing
I told myself to keep it (laughs)
Just like everyone else, I would gradually feel accustomed to it
That's why I want to ask everyone to please call me Koppi too
(laughs)
But first I would maybe ignore you when you call me like that because it's embarassing.. (laughs)

Within a human's life they would feel various emotions right?
Being scolded would make someone feel annoyed

Being dumped by the boyfriend would make someone feel sad
I think that within a concert we're able to express all these emotions you feel in your daily life
We might be able to soften the sad times and double the fun times
Even with my limited powers, I want to be a support to everyone

Definitely one of my favorite JUMPapers ever. I love how Yabu is so two-faced in this one. The one moment he's this goofy personality with the awkward nickname and the next moment he's all emotional about his work. It's safe to say that I love him for being like that. It makes me happy knowing that he has all these emotions. Idols are so distant for fans like us, but this makes him feel... A little more human. A little more like you and me. A little more closer.
It felt really good translating this.
