Jon had an interview last Thursday morning and they called him back a couple of hours later to let him know he got the position of production manager. So excited! They wanted him to start Monday morning. Monday morning was also supposed to be my first day babysitting for my parents. However, both girls came down with fevers Sunday night and were throwing up into Monday morning. So I missed my first day of 'work'. Then J got home from work Monday evening and within an hour began running a high fever. He had bodyaches, chills, sweats, headache, yuckiness typical of the flu. That evening I took the kids and myself to the ER hoping to get some Tamiflu. They didn't give it to us  :(   Went to my parents Tuesday, while Jon called off for being so sick. Felt fine the first half of the day. Put my little brother and sister on the school bus and picked J and Kadin up to take them to Dr Fabreys. Guess what? Jon has diabetes. He's been getting up every night about 5 or 6 times to drink and has recently lost 20 pounds without trying. So Dr F dipped his urine and said that there was LOTS of sugar in it. So now he has to go for the fasting blood test. Yikes! On the way back to my parents to get the kids off the bus, I got really tired and got the chills. I got the kids off the bus and tried preparing dinner, though all I wanted to do was lie down on the floor and sleep. 10 minutes in and I got the sweats and was dizzy, so I told my dad I had to leave early to go home. I slept from 5pm through to 6am (with frequent disruptions by the girls, at one point hitting me and screaming for pancakes!). So I called off on my parents Wednesday while J went back to work. This morning Alli still has a fever of 102.6 and I have one of 101.5 (though my base is 96.7 and not 98.6). I think I'm just gonna head over to my parents anyways cause I hate to call off on people and their kids have already been exposed. I guess I'll call and see what my mom thinks.
