Summary: For
kink meme. Shigeaki Kato, a supposed angelic lawyer, witnessed a car accident involving a mysterious man named Yamashita Tomohisa. He doesn't know anything about him but yet he's drawn to him. With his trusted friend, Keiichiro Koyama, he finds out more about this mysterious man's past and learns a bit about himself. What does this Yamashita Tomohisa have anything to do with him? Whose accident was it really?
Author's Notes: Hehe, of course, I had to make Ryo the doctor. XD It's too much fun writing as him. I shouldn't have that much fun~. But anyway. Using medical dialogue's kinda hard but I'm surprised that this chapter was longer than the previous. Either way, I'm going to keep researching properly so I can make Doctor Ryo sound more like a doctor and, hopefully, himself. :3

The Result
“The man gets hit by a car and he only gets out of it with a busted eye, broken legs, and arm. Oh, don’t forget about all that time getting the glass out of his other arm and his eye! I’m pretty sure there’s still some stuck inside which I’m sure that bastard would feel later when he wakes up,” the blunt doctor continued. “Whenever that would be. He’s lucky we got nurses who thought he was cute. Lucky bastard. Maybe I should get run over too so I can finally have women all over me and not have them after my so-called money.”
Shige gave him an annoyed look. “That’s not very smart, calling your patient a bastard.”
Doctor Nishikido ignored him and sat down to talk some more. “We had to sedate said bastard,” he seemed to put emphasis on that word, “because he kept whining about some stupid picture. Whatever. Either way, he’s going to live. He’s going to be in a lot of pain, but he’s going to live.” He pushed the front paper down and glanced at Shige. “What brings you here to my low-budget, crumbling, and overall failing hospital anyway? Is he a client of yours? Doing pro bono jobs finally? I suppose it’s bound to happen sometime. After all, snakes have to look good too I suppose before they could get more prey.”
The lawyer’s annoyed look stayed as he listened to the doctor’s banter but slightly softened. He couldn’t help but read in between the lines. Truth to be told, Doctor Ryo Nishikido used to be a lot meaner in high school. He would get in all out fights with class bullies for picking on the sickly kids or just those who were weaker than him. Shige was fortunate enough to be a quiet and studious student and only observed Ryo’s behavior. The teachers looked away at that because they couldn’t do anything about the bullies and they were happy that the fights did not affect Ryo’s grades either.
“Nah,” Shige said finally. “I saw what happened to him out by the Hot Spot and they just pushed me with him in the ambulance. I guess this was the closest hospital they could get him to.”
Doctor Nishikido seemed to be writing in information on his clipboard, as he seemed to laugh. Then gave out a scoff.
“You mean the cheapest place to go die in. The bum probably doesn’t have enough money after wasting it on booze.”
“What do you mean?” Shige said dumbly.
The doctor turned to him and Shige waited for more of his blunt comments to come as he took a seat next to him.
“His blood alcohol was,” he really emphasized his point by gesturing with his hand, “way beyond the legal limit. I’d like to study this idiot’s genes so I too can be drunk beyond my wildest dreams. How he got from the bar or wherever it is he got that beer bottle to the Hot Spot, I have no earthly idea. This man has a death wish but he didn’t get it tonight thanks to me. Oh, and the nurses. Though I have to advise you,” he continued as Shige listened intently, “because of this man’s freakish alcohol intake, you have to make sure he doesn’t get any more. He’s at extremely heavy risk for alcohol liver disease. I’m shocked he doesn’t have it already! I can’t stress this enough when I say how much of a risk it is to even give him root beer.” He gave Shige a look.
“You are going to take care of him, right? Or are you just dumping him on me? You know my hospital can’t take care of uninsured, alcohol-binging, dirty, stinky, probably full of STDs, fleas-carrying, and apparently cute bums anymore.”
Shige bit his lip. He didn’t know. After tonight, he knew he couldn’t take care of this mystery man anymore. He didn’t know him and vice-versa. The only tie he had to that strange man was to give him back his picture.
“Tick-tock, Kato.”
The picture. He just realized he must’ve left it back with Koyama, who would probably wanted to involve the two in this so-called mystery.
“Going once. Going twice.”
“Fine,” Shige finally said, “I’ll take him.” Doctor Nishikido gave him a smile and his clipboard.
“Fill this out, Mister Kato, and we’ll let you know when you can take your new bastard-slash-idiot-slash-bum home.”
