Cat news

In the last post I wrote, I said that Inky is not an affectionate cat and that she doesn't like to sleep with me. Well, I was wrong. Inky will sleep on the bed with me, and her favourite spot to sleep is between my feet. A few days ago she jumped up on my lap, gave me nose rubs and head bonks, asked me to pet her, and purred. She didn't stay for long, but it gives me hope that as she gets older and more settled she will be more affectionate.

I am going to be adopting a new kitty. The name I have given her, at least temporarily, is Jubilee. She is about the same age as Inky, and she is a calico. Currently she has a litter of newborn kittens, so I can't bring her home till the babies are weaned. I am also adopting one of the babies, a tortie that I have named Katniss. (I say the names are temporary because once I get to know them, I may change their names.) They will be coming to live with me most likely in December, which is a good time as I probably won't be at work very much in December. I should really unpack more of the boxes in my bed-sitting room (the sitting room is off the bedroom but not actually separated by a door) so that I can put cat beds and a litter box in there, and also so that I can put a desk in there and stop using my laptop on the kitchen table, because my tendinitis has returned with a vengeance from my non-ergonomic setup. The first few days after I moved out of my old place I did almost all my computing on my tablet, and my tendinitis vanished. Then I got my new kitchen table, and Monster and I put it together, and I put my laptop on it. Now I do all my computing there and my tendinitis has come back.

Oh, and here is a link to where I posted pictures of my new babies in kittypix
