LOAD FASTER, YA WEASELLY PIECE OF CRAP! LOAD!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

My Verizon 4g thingy has shipped. Can't get here fast enough.

A friend of mine sent me a postcard she made of what she called a "mash up". Apparently, a "mash up" is combining two celebrities. She did Oprah Winfrey and Opus the Penguin (from the comic strip, "Bloom County") to make Opus Winfrey. I came up with this: Edgar Allan Poe + Po from "Kung-fu Panda". Kind of creepy instead of cuddly. The panda eye-spots make it look as if Edgar has tiny eyeballs in huge sockets. Here is a link to the picture: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8374859/

Talked to my friend with the guy who has lost the cheese from his cracker. Basically, she has left and is safely away from him. He got fired from his job and now all the bad crap that has happened in the last few years (his parents died within like six months of each other among other things) is flooding back. He's basically freaking out and, of course, is not seeking any kind of healthcare. >:( I wish the stigma of seeing a mental health care provider would disappear. I told KP that she may wanna consider having AP 302'd (crisis/forcible commit) as he is going to kill her, someone else or himself. His anger is totally out of control.

FWS: One second shift a guy came to the ER and he was talking and joking with the phelbotomist while she drew tubes of blood. Later, he was admitted to our CCA (critical care area), she went to get blood culture bottles, and he was unconscious, unresponsive, had a central line in and was intubated. That was just a matter of a few hours. OMG! His blood smear is all weird looking, too (indications of cancer but he's not seeing any of our oncologists). His diagnosis is septic shock but I dunno. Sounds like he has a lot more going on than that. The guy is around 30. Freaky. Just freaky. About 15 minutes before I left, the chem tech had to have the nurse redraw his blood because the tests were coming back all nuts on him... and then a cardiac arrest code was called for CCA. I hope it wasn't for this dude. Crap. I also know that there is a guy up there who is on life support and is basically just dead. He's been up there, in a coma, brain dead, since February. He's starting to really fall apart. I mean, don't get me wrong, we will do whatever we can to keep him alive and I have absolutely no problem with that... but... let's just say it's good that he's unconscious. If he weren't, he'd be in a lot of pain and torment (organs failing, can't breathe on his own, etc.). Maybe the cardiac code was God finally saying to this guy, "Listen, your kids are just torturing themselves and you. Why don't you come home?"

Other than that stuff, nothing else is going on except Dad is in his last week of chemo. We hope. :)
