George Carlin is on Inside the Actor's Studio tonight. Among other things, he mentioned that when he did Vegas in the 60's (when he played to mainstream audiences in their 40's and 50's) he made $12,500 a week. A week!
I used an online inflation calculator (converting from 1969 dollars to 2003 dollars), and according to it that's 63,176.45 in today's money. Wow, way to go George!
I own several albums of Carlin's. A lot of great stuff.
On an unrelated note, I just saw video footage of George W. flipping off the camera. This seems to be a pattern. There's the "Major A**hole" moment from 2000 and Cheney's "Go F*** Yourself" comment in Congress. I sincerely doubt that Clinton, Gore, Kerry or Edwards would get a similar pass:
http://static.vidvote.com/movies/bushuncensored.mov I've been dealing with a lot of stuff lately, and handling it well I'd like to think. I had a great weight workout earlier. I managed to add weight or reps to most every exercise. I'm still loving my muscles.
Tomorrow the low-carb adventure starts!!! I picked up meat & eggs at Kroger's tonight. I have high hopes that I'll make further progress on the weight loss.
