No Worries
It's taken awhile, but it's accomplished.
I started this project at Dragon Con. Within the following month I'd put together sundry items that I believe he'll enjoy. It's kind of a combination birthday/christmas/congratulations-on-the-new-job care package. It's rather crappy that the temp job ended soon after I'd picked up some of the stuff, but what can ya do?
So I've basically sat on all this for a month or more since I got the last item. I'd checked with Kinko's and found out that they wanted an obscene amount of money (in addition to unspecified importation fees that either I or Spike would have to pay). So I shopped around and discovered that that the US Mail charged a fraction of the up front cost. There's also no unspecified importation fees. The only drawback is that it's expected to take 4-6 weeks to arrive at Spike's doorstep. But really it's his own fault for living in one of those fake countries ;)
Some people might think that I've been slow, lazy and a procrastination grandmaster. I like to think of it as "glacial cunning."
