i know i said i'd wait a week, but i just can't wait that long! Here are the somewhat-surprising answers:

1. False. i wish i'd done this. But, it never happened. On campus we had this psycho group called the Progressive Student Alliance and they used to protest something just about every week. When war broke out, they led the protests- and no one noticed that this protest had a cause. :(

2. False. i didn't really grasp the concept of reading until the summer before 2nd grade. After finally figuring it out, i went immediately into chapter books and became a full-time book worm.

3. True. i was the alternate for our school's Envirothon team. We won the state competition and got to go to the nationals (and i got to compete because one of our team couldn't make it). The nationals were held in Nova Scotia because of their unique environmental features caused by the Bay of Fundy.

4. True. My first role that i auditioned for and was then cast in, was the Nightengale of Samarkind in Once Upon a Mattress. This was the summer before i entered high school. The extent of the role was one singing/comedic number in the second act, and they dressed me in a giant, red, bird-like Mascot costume.

5. True. i've performed twice at the Bushnell, once for the Allstate band and once singing Verdi's Requiem with the Hartford Symphony. i've also performed twice in the Hartford Civic Center, both times were for the CCSU graduation.

6. False. i hated chemistry. It was the bain of my existance. My teacher was the devil. She called my mother and told her i was the worst student she'd ever had. And, i did fail one quarter, but i also failed the AP test. i received a solid 2, which means i successfully put my name on the test. And, my life didn't end...

7. False. Lot's of crazy things happened in Florida. But, not this one!

8. True. i first read the Anne McCaffery books (all of them!) in seventh grade. For a project for English class that year, i wrote a tune for Menolly's song about the queen firelizard and performed it in class. It's not very good, but i was only 11!

9. True. One summer in high school, i attended an awesome program called the Bluff Point Summer Institute. The concept of the program was to study the overpopulation of deer at the coastal nature preserve Bluff Point State Park. It was intended to be an interdisiplinary program, including science, art, creative writing, and (in my case) music. For our final project, two of us wrote a one act musical about deer hunting. We used known music from other musicals and rewrote the words. It was terrible, but fun!

10. False. i started out as a Music Ed major. i really thought this one was obvious! i'm much to radical to ever consider going into politics!

11. True. It started out with trying to get my apathetic class excited about prom. i then did almost every announcment my senior year. i loved being the mysterious announcment person. Plus, i was just enough outside of most social circles to pull it off!

12. False. i have a tattoo. It's a lovely little dragon. i'm sure most of you have seen it. i did used to feel this way, but Jenn (darkgryphn) talked me into it. Ask her about the story sometime...

13. False. i was far too lazy in high school to get the kind of grades i would have need to get into Yale. i did want to go there as a kid. i also wanted to go to William and Mary. But, those dreams were before i really knew anything about college. Besides, if i wanted my parents' help paying for school, they mandated i at least start at a CT state school. So, i only applied for one school, good ole' CCSU. And, i didn't send the application in until March...

14. True. The making of the costume was a thousand times more fun then the movie. And, yes i fell asleep. i woke up at the Yoda fight because the rest of the theatre was cheering. i haven't told most of my guy friends that, becuase it would crush them. ;D
