I don't read comics all that much these days. I have one that I follow faithfully, and its not mainstream... but I keep up with most of what's going on by listening to last_bastion talk about what he's been reading, reading the occasional mag he drops in my lap... and then reading the occasional rant that nash076 posts.

I love Northlanders. Its a Vertigo strip I started picking up on our monthly trips to the comic store... really, the only strip I'm reading right now, with the exception of the occasional one that last_bastion insists is a good read. Caught an afternoon showing of Gamer over the weekend. I found it entertaining overall... first end of the movie rocked, second half was somewhat questionable. There are so many _other_ better things that they could have done with that movie and they just decided not to. Oh well ( Read more... )

I haven't seen fireworks in a very long time. I mean... really seen fireworks. I think the last time was while I was standing in a parking lot with formal_copy and smittymoo before he moved completely out of Sunbury to be with his wife again; the Moo and I drove out for a visit and saw them at a distance from a Dunkin Doughnuts parking lot.
