Mom's weight is back up. Although you may think it's a good thing, it actually is not. Yesterday she spent her entire day sitting up in a chair. She has 8lbs of additional fluids within her. I had to go in to my mom's doctors office yesterday. He asked my mom to have me go at the end of his shift. People working with me tried lifting my spirit by saying, maybe he wants to discuss her care when she gets released. My eyes are swollen and blackened underneath. I spent part of last night at the hospital with mom. She is fluid filled and swollen. Sitting up is difficult, laying down is out of the question cause she coughs and sputters, and standing won't work either. Her skin is now very yellow and odd looking. Again she needs surgery. Not just once, but twice. The first time she goes is for out patient surgery so they can put a shunt in her bile duct. Her belly is all distended and squishy. She's very bloated and in much pain ( Read more... )

She called my from her cell phone on the way back to her house yesterday. I could hear the pain in her voice. They removed 3 pounds of yellowish/brown fluid from the lining of her lungs. She's yellow, her skin color is YELLOW! I knew she looked bad at church on Sunday. She even said she wasn't feeling well. Her spirit is usually upbeat and outgoing. She sat there.
