~Sometimes entangled in your own dreams~
Thursday was certainly eventful. Took my dogh out for a walk in the morning, but then it starts raining, no problem, I'm wearing my jacket, halfway through...what happens, HUGE storm erupts, so I'm pretty much flying cos my dog was shit scared and sprinting. So I get home looking like a drowned rat, cold and shivering.
So we left about 4, got to rugeley for about 5 and set off for leeds. Took us about 2 hours using the sat nav. Couldnt stop laughing at the voice on the gadget. We got there and my back was killing me!
We got there in time for the sound-check, and we sat right next to the speakers at the front...where else? :) So during most of the gig, the bass is so loud and heavy that I'm leaning against the speakers and I ended up shaking, like some Elvis impersonator. Some of the locals were fascinated with our accents! Anyway, I had one of my fave songs dedicated to me again SQUEEEEEE-ness great gig, the music was fab as usual and the set was great. As my dad is mates with the singer, he said my top looked like one of those tray linings in those boxes of Milk Tray (my initial thought was wtf?) and my belt I stole froma giant mutant dog called Fluffy! See? The imaginations of the people I know are so warped! But hell I had a great time, didnt get back home til 3am, after dad got lost...only cos I directed and he didnt listen!
So spent yesterday recovering, including one of my biggest achievements to date, I made risotto, all on my own, ha! My dt food GCSE paid off! Also started playing Sudoku again, its surprising how addictive it is!
Got woken up this morning at bout 4.45 by our neighbour's radio going off...again! Cos she's deaf, she has it on pretty much full blast and as the room is directly by mine, the noise was unbearable, so there's me at bout 5am hitting my bedroom wall. So I gave up, got up and read one of my film books until it stopped, that was bout another 10 minutes, so right now, I have a splitting headache. I still cannot wait til I go on holiday though...anything to get away from everything crap thats happened lately. But I cant wait to go back to uni either, cos I havent seen my uni mates for ages, well apart from a couple of them.
