I am in the land of so many different kinds of work hell, there is hardly gigabites enough here to ennumerate them all.  However, in a minor break from routine, I got to call a meteorologist today for a year-end story on the North Carolina drought.  I love talking about the weather.  I love it even more than talking about sewers.  Because meteorologists say things like:

"There's an oscillation in the eastern Pacific ocean..."

I'm not the least bit interested in what exactly is oscillating, just that phrase is joy enough.

And for what it's worth, this was the third driest year in Wilmington since they started keeping records in 1781.  And it was 78 degrees yesterday.  I can't believe I miss both rain and cold!

There's no better form of procrastination than to continue my love affair with random phrases.  Here's another one I like from an on-line bio I just perused:

"...as well as spearheaded pioneering efforts in the fig industry."

mmmm.
