To make a long story short, he switched one of my medications so that it serves two functions: reducing the amount of acid my stomach produces and blocking another type of histamine that affects the stomach lining. I saw my hip surgeon today. My hip is doing excellent and I got the green light to do anything that does not hurt. YES!!!!! I'm so excited. He said he could not predict the future of my cartilage, but he was WAY more optimistic than the PA and felt that I had a good chance of not having my hip replaced! It has been a challenging couple of weeks. My back continues to be a problem with causes unknown. The MRI showed no deterioration, stress fractures, tumors, etc. However, the only place that hurts like hell is ON the bone. I have seen my rheumatologist twice this week.
