Question about dates
My new story is set in the Fourth Age and I intend to start each of the chapters with the date. It might be a single day or it might be a week. I'm not sure how to make it easiest for people to read. It's the fourth year of the Fourth Age and from what the Appendix in RotK says for the other ages it would look like this: F.A. 4
What I don't know is if I should write it like this each time: July 13, F.A. 4. Or, July 13 - 18, F.A. 4. Or, if it would just be best to say in the author notes at the beginning of the story that it's the fourth year of the Fourth Age and only list the month and day. Part of me likes the ease of just putting it in the author's notes, but part of me likes the accuracy of listing it the more 'official' way.
