I NEVER thought I'd see the day that Fan-Fiction would be promoted in School Library Journal!  In the August 1st edition there is an article titled 'When Harry Met Bella: Fanfiction is all the Rage. But is it plagiarism? Or the perfect thing to encourage young writers?'

My new story is set in the Fourth Age and I intend to start each of the chapters with the date.  It might be a single day or it might be a week.  I'm not sure how to make it easiest for people to read.  It's the fourth year of the Fourth Age and from what the Appendix in RotK says for the other ages it would look like this:  F.A. 4

I just posted a new short story called, A Little Misunderstanding.  It's set in about 2935 T.A.and features Elladan, Elrohir, a young Halbarad, and a few OC's from the Dunedain village where the story is set.  The twins have returned to the village and Halbarad is highly suspicious of them, wondering just why they are there.  Meanwhile, the twins ( Read more... )

Does anyone have an idea of how far an army of men can march in a day?  The conditions won't be the best as they're going from Minas Arnor into Mordor and down to the Sea of Nurnen so there will also be wagons for water and other supplies.  There will be some men on horseback, but the majority of men will be on foot.  I was thinking ten to twelve ( Read more... )

I finally finished 'Life in the King's House', a sequel I've been working on for a year and a half!! I'm very excited as you can tell. :)  The last few months it's been like pulling teeth to get the thing finished.  I dearly love these characters, but I don't want to see them for a long time!  I'm going to go and write some young Eomer and young ( Read more... )

I finally posted a new chapter of my 'In Aragorn's Safekeeping' sequel.  One more chapter to go, I think.  I want to get it finished so I can move on to another story I have rumbling around in my mind!  Here is the link if anyone here is reading it.  Chapter Nine: Conversations
