I wondered that myself, but I read up a little on the links. Basically, the character is described as having short, natural, nappy hair, and looking somewhat like Alana Beard.


The model on the book cover has looser curls, and is rather light-skinned.


All of which is nitpicking, compared to the original model:


I agree that the new cover is a huge improvement, but I can see how fans of the book would still say, "But that doesn't look like Micah!"
