new computer!!
well...i have done this ALL backwards, it was meant to be; new house, new car, new computer...instead it has been new car, new computer...and i am hoping at SOME point it will be new house!!
i went to the apple store today and bought a macbook pro. the very cute boy (ok 'young man') there was so obviously interested that i almost felt bad taking advantage...almost...but not enough to turn down the $300+ student discount i got for flirting with him. plus it was so lovely that he thought i was 31! and that was in bright daylight with NO makeup...i am ready to face my next birthday now, thanks!
yes, he gave me his cell phone number (in case i needed any help setting up my computer), and NO i will not be calling him, cause 23 is sooooooooo cute in a puppies are darling kind of way.
all in all, despite the price tag, i am happy with my day, and i totally <3 my new macbook pro!!!
the sucky thing is; i can't find my cd copy of word/excel/powerpoint which i bought...oh about 6 years ago...ugh. not with the other software cds so either i dream tonight about where i put it, manage to transfer it somehow from my old to my new computer...or i have to buy a new copy grrrrr. i think on monday i need to borrow a hard drive from work so i can transfer my itunes over. i HAVE a hard drive, but it has a firewire 600 connection and the new computer only has thunderbolt and usb 3.0! so yeah...totally useless!! i can get a usb drive from work, no reason i can't check it out temporarily! there are benefits to being the boss!
