new baby!!
oh not THAT baby, my niece lucia belle has been around for a week now, thats old news! no, the new baby i'm talking about is my brand spanking new honda fit. whoooosh! bought a new car, first time ever, and it wasn't too bad actually! well it took forEVER, but totally painless apart from that!
i did all my research, priced everything and discovered that the BEST deal was to be had through the costco car buying programme (they were about $1000 cheaper than MSRP). so i went to the dealership in downey that offered it and thats where the waiting started cause they only had a manual transmission on the lot and i am a strictly auto kinda girl! in any case they located a car, they even located a car in the colour i wanted (after some other autodeal programme dude that i talked to told me that it was impossible cause there were only 2 in california in that colour, and none at the price i was talking about...i feel as if i should call him back to tell him; nya boo sucks! lol); RED. scott came with me...we ended up leaving and going to lunch and then coming back to the dealership and by then the car was there! so after that it was just paperwork and voila! a new car is mine. its freaky to drive something that works well after the death trap i've been nursing along for the past year or so...i have air conditioning, i have windows that go up and down...i have suspension and working brake lights and all the mirrors i need!! woo-hoo! i am sure i shall get used to it soon. it is higher off the ground than my old car, and has soooo many windows, i kinda feel like i am driving in a bubble! crazy!!
now of course i am paranoid about dings and scratches and stuff in a way i never was before...and i'll have to read the manual to figure out how to set the memory for my radio stations. wow. i am exhausted, so much nervous energy burned today!!
