That exclamation point is to say, "Part 2" in a very excited manner. It is not "Part 2
factorial," which is the multiplicative product of all counting numbers up to and including 2. (For the record, though, 2! = 2 x 1 = 2, so it comes out the same either way, just less excited and more mathematical.)
Anyway, remember
a few days ago when I posted up some pictures? I am going to do that again.
Saturday parties
First, this past Saturday (October 26th, if you want to put a finer point on it), I had a pleasant early evening with my family, celebrating my niece's birthday with a princess party. She's very much into
Ariel these days, after going through a
Belle phase and a
Snow White phase before that.
After, I went to a gathering hosted at my friend Kevin's apartment. He and Enjoli were having a party in my honor, for my birthday. Isn't that special? Surprisingly, it was Enjoli's idea. (How odd, since she really doesn't know me that well.) Moses was also there. We had fun playing
Fluxx, then
Chrononauts. (As a side note, Chrononauts is easier to play for those with a working knowledge of 20th century history, especially relating to assassinations.) Then, the night capped off with this... this... THIS:
Megaman: the Cookie Cake
It's... beautiful... (*tear*)
(*ahem*)
I... uh... have something in my eye...
Monday
'Twas the night before Halloween, and I decided to wait until the last minute to get the one single item I needed to complete my simple (albeit lazy) Halloween costume to wear to work the next day. I went to Heroes & Fantasies on Loop 410, Spencer's at Ingram Mall, and the Target on 410 and Fredricksburg. NO PLACE had it, or at least one that would work for its intended purpose. Finally found it - surprisingly cheap, too - at Wal-Mart on I-10 and Vance Jackson. What was this thing? A simple T-shirt with a simple logo. For what? You'll see soon enough.
Now, one thing, I DID manage to find at the Target was some
special Halloween cereal. October is the one month out of the year when you're guaranteed to find Count Chocula, Frankenberry, AND Boo-Berry in stores at the same time. But that wasn't all that General Mills marched out this year. They also brought back two cereals that have not seen the light of day in DECADES! Behold the grandeur of the Fruity Yummy Mummy and Frute Brute!
You know, between Frute Brute in the 70s and Froot Loops in that last three decades, it's a wonder our kids can spell at all.
Halloween Tuesday
So, you want to see the costume? Behold: Clark Kent!

Left, me as Clark Kent. Right, the same, but with a coworker who was Supergirl.
I just couldn't get that curl to sit right for the life of me, no matter how much hair gel I used. Ah, well.
