"I can't do this." Sara threw down her tools.
Neal looked up from the other side of the table, where he was sculpting something beautifully intricate with casual skill. They both studied Sara's attempt.
"Nonsense. That's an excellent...squash." His brow wrinkled slightly. "Why has it got legs?"
Sara snorted. She was covered in clay, whereas Neal's white undershirt was, if anything, cleaner than when they'd started.
"It's a bird, Caffrey."
"Ah. Well." He kissed her on the nose. "Snakes are nice, too."
To Sara's disappointment, when she showed him what she could do with clay, he managed to duck.
