As ever, June sat down with her coffee after she finished making the latest addition to her scrapbook. It took time to leaf through every page she'd filled, but it was her favorite part of the week.
The first month after Neal moved in, there were lavish bouquets. But eventually, it became a single flower, in the bud vase that was now permanently on her desk. Just one...
...but one every few days. It never got a chance to wilt.
There were hundreds of pages, and pressed flowers on every one.
June liked to think of it as her savings.
