oh man. i found a fabric store in san fran that was (sort of) awesome. i have a couple others that i missed today, but i shall be returning to soon...
:
the batiks:
the florals:
the solids (for blocks in quilting an such):
and everything else! wee!
(and here are a couple things i already had that i think some of you might like!):
so that was my day. everybody was lovin' up nona and i got into a big convo about pregnancy tea with a hippie lady at the diner we ate lunch at. speaking of ladies, i am PRETTY certain i saw the actress who plays Sun on Lost! she was at the diner and she was gorgeous and done up and all expensively clothed and she looked exactly the same, down to the hair and everything and she gave me a small smile when i was trying to discreetly figure out where i'd seen her before. nona was a very good girl, all smiles and giggles and talkative. she only cried a couple times, and the rest of the time she slept or just stared out the window. it was great and now i'm exhausted.
in other news, josh and i have been doing pilates every day for about a week. it's been amazing. i have so much more energy, i'm happier, and my body feels SO much better. we're trying to take up jogging but our moods and schedules have yet to come together in order to make it happen. meh.
we went to ikea yesterday and shopped our butts off. some of the fabric is actually from ikea (they have awesome stuff!). it's drapes, so i plan on going all scarlett o'hara on their asses. BOOYAH! we also came home with an awesome couch. it's chocolate brown and cushy. nice.
i've been reading this book about hand-sewn quilting and i'm totally game to start trying. i like the lady's style, it's all in muted fabrics and very subtle stitches, thus the somewhat "boring" or muted solid fabrics i picked up today. i'm so excited!
