So far so ...tolerable
Well I got up in a sleep filled haze to my parents taking a taxi to the airport. It was a wrench but I could concentrate on work, and getting to it, so I did. I retuned the radio downstairs to radio 1 and got off to work, and felt bizzarrely cheerful and singy once I got there. I guess in retrospect because I like my job and they're like family-ish, which is reassuring after loss of parentals, plus there's the whole end of the period high which is always good.
Work was well work, only with me singing away.
No idea what I feel about joven. Am tryin to not tie myself in knots. I can thus fix down that I like how he smells and I'm quite conscious of him. But other than that...he doesn't make me unhappy...who knows. Maybe I wanted it to be more than it is. Lord knows. Maybe I'm not untied completely yet.
So far I've survived post work quite well. Stopped off at mouselion's house, got invited to supper, so I stayed for that and went home to lounge. Rang russia, had a long chat about her TEFL course, her internet romance, friends trying to fix you up cos they're all in relationships and whether defrosted sausages should be grilled and then nuked at a later date, or grilled and made into cold sandwiches later (mum had put them to defrost for my supper).
I accidentally sprayed myself with a tiny bit of fat because i forgot to prick the sausages before startin to grill them and decided to do this after they'd grilled a tiny bit. Oops.
Since then I watched American Pie 2, just to see what the fuss was about. I'd have watched American Pie 1 first but the library's copies are all stolen or lost apart from 1 dvd which I know isn't cos it's out. And the fuss? It's about nothing. A couple of wincey embarrassment sketches and a cutesey romance hiding behind it. But I quite liked the cutsey romance. Didn't laugh though.
Have the wedding planner and what else? Oh yes A one and a two (yi yi) a chinese film that was critically acclaimed when it came out that I thought looked interesting. Will let you know if I end up stayin up to watch that. Wedding planner is basically borrowed as lullaby pap in case you're wondering.
So I guess so far I'm surviving by thinking about everything except empty house so if I don't sound too freaked that's why and why I'm talkin about summat else as soon as poss!
