TransGender Michigan is looking for a few good Board Members
Board members are primarily responsible for:
v Forwarding the mission and goals of TransGender Michigan
v Actively participating in activities and events, including regular attendance at board meetings
v Managing the budget
v Fundraising
v Organizational development
v Representing the organization and the transgender community
v Maintaining regular communication amongst the Board
v Freely providing feedback to one another
v Serving as an ally for all underrepresented groups by learning about power, privilege and oppression and always working to counter inequities
v Demonstrating a personal financial commitment to the organization
v Organizing and leading one major fundraiser each fiscal year
People of color, people with disabilities, FTMs, genderqueer individuals, crossdressers, significant others, friends, family members and allies (SOFFAs), and those residing outside of the Detroit Area are especially encouraged to apply.
