Robin was sitting in one of the big armchairs nearest the fireplace. She had the Surviving Poems of Sappho in her hands now, but had a few books stacked on the floor near her chair as well.
She didn't bother the other people who came and went, nor did the bear guarding one corner of the room give her a second glance. That interested her, but she kept on reading. On an endtable to her right, the side farther from the fireplace, a Vine flower had been stretched to accommodate her. Every so often she'd glance over at the scroll she'd just written, then manifest a blossom-hand to write a reply. She didn't keep the blossom around long, but by doing so many times, the scent of lavender hung in the air near her in spite of the burning wood.
