Then a voice is heard, high and sudden. It will be familiar to some, vaguely Australian and somewhere between excited and confused.] Ah, oh! It was real?

Oh, hello! Another cute girl! [Zenobia pauses, remembering that she's married for a few more days, and shouldn't be flirting.]

Um, welcome back? I don't think I got a chance to meet you if you were here before, but I've only been here a little over a month. My name's Zenobia.

[Vanille smiles at that, leans back in toward the mirror.] There are a lot of them here, huh?

[She shakes her head a little.] Nope! I'd remember you, I think! [And a wave hello!] It's nice to meet you! Have you seen my friends? Their names are Hope, Serah, and Lightning.

Yes! That's one thing about this place that is so lovely.

Nice to meet you, too! ...Unfortunately, I haven't met anyone with those names. I hope you can find them.

[recalls]

Oh... [Her face falls a little at that, but she's smiling again in no time.] Well, I'm sure they're around somewhere, or they're on their way. Fang and I were here first last time, too.

action; gonna...just assume Fang is lurking near by, if that's fine!

Haven't seen them...

[Fang frowns, rolls her shoulders back.] We should look around. If they're still here, they can't be too far off.

Let's check and see if the house is still there! If they're here, they'll probably be somewhere nearby, right?

[Vanille claps her hands together and heads off in the direction of the house she'd built on the lake, a skip in her step. Even though she made a promise not to run away, to save Cocoon, she can't help but feel a sense of relief to be in the Gardens again. It's not really running away this way, is it?]

Fang? If they're not here, do you think they'll come back?

[Xion's in her room, but she rushes to the window when she hears that familiar voice on the Vine outside.]

Vanille! You're back! And you remember?

[Vanille brightens and waves hello.] Xion! I'm glad to see you!

[She pauses for a moment, thinking.] When I got home, it was like this place was a dream that I couldn't really remember, but when I woke up here again, it was like I never forgot at all.

I'm glad...that you didn't forget again.

[she pauses, sobering.]

But--I'm sorry...you probably wanted to stay at home.

Me, too! It would be sad to forget your friends, don't you think?

[She turns away from the Vine, links her fingers together behind her back.]

There are things I'm supposed to do, back home. Things I promised I'd do. But it's nice being here, where I don't have to worry so much. If all my friends came, I think... maybe it would be good if we could always stay here. Is that selfish? There's... [She pauses.] A lot of people are depending on us. I used to think it would be better if I just ran away, but that only made things worse in the end.

[She turns back around, appearing to have come to some sort of conclusion.] I do need to go back home, but I'm happy I get to see you again.

People coming back... uh, hey there! I dunno if your house is still intact.

[ She never really hung out with Vanille but she remembers her, and gives her a small wave. ]

Still the same-old same-old here.

It's all right, Fang and I will go look!

[She waves back.] You'r Larry, right? I don't think we really met before.

Has anything... [She scrunches up her face, trying to think of the right word.] interesting... happened lately?

Well, there were robots... and the queen just threw a tantrum the other day so odds are something else crazy is gonna happen.

... She goes from smiling to worried as Larry speaks. She has really terrible memories of the last time the Queen did something.] Oh, no... what was she angry about?

Kanaya! [She smiles, clearly happy to see her.] I'm sorry I left without saying anything, I didn't know that was going to happen! [She tilts her head to one side, then the other.] If you didn't find a place to stay while I was gone, my offer's still there!

It's quite alright. I understand the way of this place gives one few choices, at times. [That earns a smile.] You're too kind. I built a place of my own while you were gone, though.

She nods in agreement, and then claps her hands together in excitement.] You did? I'd like to see it! [Oh is that rude and presumptuous? She's bad at these things.] If that's okay, that is! You can come visit me, too!
